Meet Shannon Parish
It is my greatest joy in life to be the proud Grandma, and MeeMaw of 7 creative grandchildren. (Two different families, therefore, two different names for me.)
I’m also a cartoonist, writer, and retired minister. Oh the stories I can tell, illustrate and write about!
As a seasoned life coach, retired minister, and accomplished cartoonist with over three decades of ministry experience, I bring a wealth of insight into fostering meaningful connections within families through creative expression.
My extensive work with diverse individuals—spanning children, parents, and accomplished authors, speakers, and entrepreneurs—has equipped me with a deep understanding of human dynamics, personality differences, and the transformative power of the arts.
Coloring pages and creative activities are more than just fun—they are powerful tools for stress relief, open communication, and joyful family bonding. These activities also serve as educational gateways, helping children and parents alike explore unique personalities, motivations, and learning styles. By engaging in playful, artistic endeavors, families can cultivate trust, strengthen relationships, and develop essential communication skills that lay the foundation for a confident, balanced adulthood.
Throughout my career, I’ve witnessed the profound impact of misunderstanding creative minds simply because they think or communicate differently. I’ve also seen talented individuals struggle under the weight of undervalued platforms or misplaced expectations. My mission is to empower parents to nurture their child’s individuality and creative potential from an early age. Through shared activities like coloring, families can learn from one another—yes, children and parents teach each other—fostering mutual respect and healthy confidence that equips them to navigate life’s challenges.
With my unique blend of ministerial wisdom, artistic expertise, and coaching experience, I’m dedicated to guiding families toward deeper connections and creative exploration. Let’s inspire your child’s imagination and build a stronger, more communicative family dynamic through the joy of the arts.
